This Is Me

I am man who has seen some days,
Days of pain, discomfort, and also of joy.
Joy in knowing the Creator is with me,
Me trusting He has never failed.
Failed, I have many times in life.
Life yet bringing new chances,
Chances to improve, enlighten, and encourage.
Encourage myself and others to do what you can,
Can more be said...?
Said of man who has seen some days,
Days of pain, discomfort, and also of joy.

Inspiration: This poem expresses my appreciation in knowing that I am accepted and loved of Christ. Based upon Psalm 23:4 - "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

I create poetry under the pseudonym of "The Refined Poet" due to the style of my writings. I do not write from a place of angst, frustration, or inner turmoil. My poetry comes from biblical, thoughtful introspection and consideration of various topics while respecting the many forms of the poetic genre.
